Baby's first photos

Here she ir he is. We had to wait a week for the ultrasound since my due date is still in flux. Everything looked fine. They checked the fat on the back of the neck, which is a down's indicator, and that was fine. We saw the heartbeat and saw him/her move. Which is really strange when you can see it moving and not feel it. Here you can see the head at the top with a hand in front of the face. And the body is curved along the uterine wall. It was all very nice and exciting. It still isn't quite real. But soon that will take care of it's self. I will post the others later. Posted by Picasa

Even the red berries on the vine look monochromatic. Posted by Picasa

The tree was so burdened with snow that it looked like we worked in a Hobbit hole. Posted by Picasa

On the north porch this morning. I love that you can tell where little birdie landed. Then Paco's big foot prints in the background. Posted by Picasa

A monochromatic morning. Well except for the hour I spent stuck in traffic looking at the back end of a black Envoy. Not the prettiest gas guzzeling hog on the roadm, by far. Posted by Picasa

About two weeks ago we had the night lights happening again. I don't know exactly what they are. They aren't the northern lights. This is the first year that I have seen them. Posted by Picasa

Gabbie was just rubbing Budda's head. I went for the photo and he stood straight up to see what I was doing and I got this shot instead. Posted by Picasa

X-mas

Yeah the rest of the couch is empty. And Red likes the part with paper on it. Posted by Picasa

Walker Art Center's new addtion the week before the opening. I made Benny circle around the block for this one. I love the hands. Posted by Picasa

Our neighborhood brewery (Schmidt) at dusk, a view from the river. Now out of business and looking for a developer. You can see the grain towers on the left and the castle tower on the right, with the skyway/bridge between. Posted by Picasa

Cullen House

Stewart Ave: it was a VFW when I moved into the neighborhood. Then some one took off the stucco and look at the stone work it hid! It is still under renovations. But has soo much potential to be a glorious home again. P.S. It is missing the top floor. I don't know when that came down. But at some point I guess that the VFW didn't need a great view of the river. Well the first floor has a good view too. Posted by Picasa

The mural on the side of the Schimdt brewery. The view is looking at St. Paul looking from the other side of the river. From left to right you have the train bridge, river boat Johnathan Paddelford or such, the cathedral and head house stack. And lastly downtown. There is one more panel but I couldn't get a straight shot of it for this Posted by Picasa

One really cool sink. Fron the Southern Living Idea house. Tucked in a third floor bathroom. I love the water supply in the wall and the lack of visual supports.

Atlanta Greenbuild Tour

I went on a smarth growth tour at Glenwood Park and the Southern Living 2005 Idea House. Which is an Earthcraft Environmentally friendly house. Built on a brownfield, on a infil site in Atlanta using smart growth principals. To the side is one end of the retaining pond. The rainwater runs into this and used to irrigate the plants on the site. The upper part has a park on it with a playground. I will attach a few pictures from the tour. Posted by Picasa
